… face of the wall. (Their height varies approximately between and m.) The level of the original top of one in situ on the east stylobate at 13.00 m. north of the south face of the south wall is [handwritten: +0.34 m]; and of another in situ at 8.10 m. north is [handwritten: +0.28 m]. It would appear accordingly that the stylobate sloped toward the south at the rate of 0.012 m. per meter of lineal distance. The floor pavement at the north east and southeast corner appears to be at its original levels of -0.24 m. and 0.38 m. respectively which is a difference of 0.14 m. in a lineal distance of 13.92 m. making a slope toward the south of approximately 0.01 m. per meter. The east stylobate has been restored accordingly. The pavement in the northwest corner and at 0.78 m. short of the southwest corner appear also to be at their original levels of -0.26 m. and 0.35 m. respectively, which is a difference of 0.09 m. in a lineal distance of 12.50 m. making a slope of 0.007 m. per meter. The west stylobate has been restored at a rate of 0.008 m. per meter. There is a plinth in this stylobate quite in situ whose top surface is well preserved at 13.00 m. north (Film 145 no.11). Its level is [handwritten: +0.31m or 0.03 m.] below the top of the one opposite on the east stylobate (see above) The west stylobate, therefore appears to have been slightly lower than the east one and has been restored accordingly. As the extant plinths are all toward the south end it has not been possible to compute the grade at a higher level.
Only one of the orthostates is extant in the east arm of the east stylobate at the north end (Plan, fig. ) but the wall under it, about 0.65 m. in thickness, extends to the east wall of the exedra. This wall was in rubble like the rest of the stylobate wall is both behind and below the level of the facing orthostates. Below level -0.62 m. down
