West wall of Exedra 1 continued.

Above course 3 the wall was in rough masonry. Some of this is extant from 6.00 m. to 14.55 m. north where it is preserved to a maximum height of plus 0.35 m. (Film 167 - [handwritten: 28]). We have a bit of the fallen rough masonry from 12.95 m. to 15.15 m. north between this wall and the east wall of exedra 2. It is not clear from which wall it fell but as both walls were identical in function [handwritten: the same] and their construction was most probably [handwritten: ^] character identical. It consists of rough stones averaging between fist and foot in size with a generous use of mud mortar (Film 167-[handwritten: 30]).

The wall is not bonded into the north wall but terminates against its south face. It is bonded into the south wall only at the level of courses 1 and 2.
