The Director has asked that I forward to you the attached information on your 1984 allocation request. Please read it carefully, noting any special understandings. All project expenses are to be charged against the appropriate approved allocation.
Please keep in mind the following:
-All requests for payments, advances, reimbursements, purchase orders must be submitted to the Business Office in writing. It takes at least three weeks for the University to process a check request. Please remember this when planning your budget, particularly when overseas expedition trips are involved.
-The University prohibits the advance of funds to any individual who has not accounted for past advances. If you were advanced funds last year, and still have not accounted for them, I urge you to do so as soon as possible, except where special permission has been granted to extend the advance.
