June. Dr Michaelides is a front-running candidate for the directorship of the Department of Antiquities after Dr Karageorghis' retirement although he probably will be passed over for Mr. Papageorghiou. However, Mr. Papageorghiou is nearing retirement age too and Michaelides surely will be the one to succeed him. Thus it would be a good political move on the part of the University Museum and on my part as well as a good one in a scholarly sense to have this collaboration. As always your thoughts comments and criticisms will be welcomed. I do not plan to answer Dr Michaelides until I have heard from you.

With best wishes. Cordially DND
