12 November 1984Dear Dr. Edwards,

Thank you for your letter regarding publication funds for 1985.

I am currently finishing up the excavation report on the pottery from Phaneromeni, which should be finished by the end of the year. Then I would like very much to get back to the University Museum picture book, for which all the research has been completed. It just needs for me to sit down and write up the general introductory chapters. I got a new word processor this summer, which has proved to be a miracle in breaking the log-jam on Phaneromeni, and I am anxious to get back to these other long-delayed projects.

The plan is to include about 150 objects in the picture book, so you can estimate the total cost according to current museum photographic rates. I feel confident that the book will be ready for final photographs in 1985.

Things have been going alright for me, although life has been much too busy, fragmented and unfocussed. I deeply appreciate your continued support and concern for these projects of mine, and am doing my best to see that they can be put behind us as soon as possible.

With all warmest regards,
