June 16, 1983Dear David:

Thank you for yours of June 14. I am glad that the things I sent arrived safely and to learn of the date of your departure for the summer. All that remains is the Falcs xeroxes and photographic prints. I think I will hold off on them until fall. Probably the prints will have to wait until spring of 1984 since I do not have enough money left to pay for printing them.

With regard to your proposed budget for 1984 I strongly suggest (tho I will submit it to our Director in November) that by way of your insurance for 1984 that you apply elsewhere as well. E.g. the American Philosophical Society (104 South 5th St., Philadelphia, Pa., 19106). Possibly also you would be eligible for the Canada Council? We have supplied a good deal, you know, and are not in a good way financially at present. I think that 1400 would be about right for the APS.

Have a good summer. It was good to see you.

Best greetings,

G. Roger Edwards Keeper of Collections Mediterranean Section
