Dear Dr. Jones:

Thank you for your prompt reply to my letter about the Cypriot material. I can well understand the problem of dealing with large sherd collections, etc. I certainly see no need to transfer the project to someone else. I will assume that you will take it up beginning in July, 1984 and will plan accordingly. Can you give me any kind of timetable as to how long you think it might take? This would be helpful to me in trying to plan for financial support for preparing the publication. In the meantime I can at least tell the Cypriot authorities that we are planning ahead.

Sincerely yours,
