February 21, 1979Dr. G. Roger Edwards, University Museum, University of Pennsylvania, 33rd and Spruce Streets, Philadelphia, Pa. 19104 U.S.A.

Dear Dr. Edwards,

Once again may I apologize for any inconvenience that I might have caused you concerning my inquiry for a supplemental request to the amount already granted me for 1979/80. Since there is no real rush for the additional funds, [handwritten: and may I will] provide you with a grant request now for the 1980/81 budget. In this way you will have it at hand when the requests are considered in November.

draughtsman's stipend supplement $250 xeroxing 25 photography supplies and services 125 maintenance while at Kourion for House of the Achilles Mosaic preliminary research 125 car rental and gas 100 research supplies 25 $650

The format that I tend to use for the publication of the Eustolios complex mosaics is the one used in the recent publication and re-publication of the mosaics from Tunisia. The drawings of the mosaics are already being executed to fit this format. Samples of this format can be seen in: Corpus des Mosaiques de Tunisie, Vol. I, fasc. 1, Utique, by M. Alexander, M. Ennaifer et. al. (Tunis 1973).
