Jan. 1, 1979Dear Roger: Thought I'd better acknowledge receipt of the Bamboula Photos. Saul was suddenly operated on (heart surgery) and it seems [handwritten: is] will be OK, but it will take time, so don't expect anything from him for some time. Such is life.
