November 21, 1978Dear Roger:

Thanks for the corrections, in both first and second form - I'll get to them as soon as possible. Thanks also for the letter about photographs. I enclose Bam. 231, which seems to be the pit without objects in situ. Anyway, that's what I want.

I listed the enlargements as 8" x 8" or 5" x 5" because these are enlargements from square negatives, and my past experience tells me that if I said 8x10 or 5x7 the person making the enlargements would invariably crop the square negatives to make them fit oblong paper. I want them uncropped, so I can do the cropping myself. They can be made on 8x10 or 5x7 paper and the rest left blank, as long as the picture is not cropped.

Many thanks to Iacovides for his comments, which I appreciate greatly. I think, however, that it is not possible to re-do all the drawings to conform to the scheme he mentioned. At least, I have none here to do it; if it can be done on your side, I would have no objection, but new drawings would have to be checked by me to make sure they were O.K.

All the best,
