November 9, 1978Professor G. Roger Edwards The University Museum 33rd and Spruce Streets Philadelphia, PA 19104

Dear Roger:

Progress! I've now re-read all but Area E and have had the drawings corrected where necessary and a few new ones made. All references to Benson's catalogue numbers added. I've also re-done some of the photographic illustrations, adding some of the VG photos in place of others. I include here a list of the enlargements of photos, with sizes, that I would like to have in order to set up the photographic illustration - some of the photos will need cropping to emphasize the particular reason for using each one and so would like to have the enlargements here to crop before sending them to you with the final text. They are as follows:

8" x 8" enlargement - Bam-303

5" x 7" enlargements - Bam-VG 21, 22, 25, 29

5" x 5" enlargements - Bam-29, 74, 80, 106, 119, 128, 130, 174, 196, 197, 204, 205, 226, 231, 233 Bam '39-92, 106, 165, 170, 195, 201, 215, 216, 268, 269 Bam '48 - B-1, C-3, 4, 10, F-8, H-8

This makes a total of 36 enlargements. I already have the enlargements for the illustrations being made from the 2-35 mm. rolls which I took in 1951, from which I'll be using 25 photos, or a total of 61 photographic illustrations, which I think is modest. Could use more if there were more, especially area shots, but they don't exist, so will do with what there is. Together with the drawings, it should be ample illustrations.

By the time the enlargements are ready, I shall have finished with Area E and be ready to send the final ms. and all illustration to you. Interested to year about publication plans. All the best.

Sincerely,
