24th May 1978Dear Roger,

Thank you for your letter about Christine Kondoleon and the one which arrived to-day together with the list of publications. I must make it very clear to you that when Christine Kondoleon asked me about the Kourion mosaics, if she could use any in her thesis, my immediate reaction was to ask her to get in touch with you. The more so after the affair with Michaelides. There is nothing more in that. I am perfectly happy that David Rupp is working on this material for publication and nobody should have any doubt about it.

With regard to unpublished material from the Acropolis and Apollo I suggest that the Missouri people, under David Soren, who will commence excavations at Apollo next month ( a new era of American excavations at Kourion) should be given this opportunity to publish old material.

All good wishes,

Yours,
