11 May 1978Dear Professor Weinberg:

I am writing to let you know that I have asked Roger Edwards to have some 200 contact prints made of the photographs taken at Kourion in 1933-53, together with Xeroxes of the ten or eleven site notebooks of some 200 pages each, referring to the work on whose publication you are now engaged.

I have been very glad to be able to cover the relatively small cost of these items from my discretionary budget, and hope that this will be some assistance to you in proceeding with the work. I am most anxious, as you may have heard, to forward in every way possible the publication of previous work undertaken by The University Museum, and I should be glad to do whatever else is possible to assist you.

I well remember my visit to your University some ten years ago, but I must say that I then had no idea that I would end up working in an American university!

With kindest regards to you and your wife,

Yours sincerely,
