July 23, 1976Dear Vassos:

It occurred to me after sending you the note and the copy of my letter to D. Rupp that perhaps we could reach a decision if you would be willing to act as arbitrator in the case of Michaelides and Rupp.

I wrote M. on June 9 (I sent you a copy of this letter at the same time). Up to now he has not replied in any way and I am beginning to think that he isn't going to reply.

Very conceivably he would enter into discussion with you if he won't with me.

I suggested a possible compromise in my letter to David of which you have a copy. If David agrees to such a compromise you might negotiate along those lines.

David says in his latest letter that he expects to go to Cyprus at the end of this month. I should appreciate your discussing the matter with him (he's an extremely nice person). And I do hope you will be able to serve as our arbitrator. I should deeply appreciate it.
