30th June, 1958

Handwritten: Dear Rodney

Many thanks for yours of 17th June. I am glad to hear that all the bones that Larry Angel had on loan are due to be shipped this summer.

Dikaios and I are satisfied that the allocation of the Kafizin fragments we have proposed will leave your Museum a series substantially more interesting than what it previously had. So if Mitford gives this division his blessing we will send off your share. But first we will make casts of what we are sending in case they are found to fit fragments which may turn up in the future, though of further finds we have no great hopes.

As regards the Sotira division I attach an extract from our official letter of 5th August, 1955 to the Director of the Curium Expedition, which Roger must have somewhere. Your share is to remain here until the report is in proof. Porphyrios has had a letter from Miss Bruckner about the concordance to which he will reply when he returns from Enkomi in a week or two.

I had heard rumours of Alix Daniel's visit. If she turns up here first I shall put her on the road to Gordion in the way you suggest.
