March 16, 1956Mr. Christophis Polycarpon, Episkopi, Cyprus.

Dear Christophis:

Thanks for the latest group of drawings and the information. In view of the complicated condition of the list of drawings needed from Nicosia I think your idea to make a new list was a good one. I have also sent the therefore done so and enclose a copy for you. I have Mr. Edwards and asked him what action he thinks we should take, list to Mr. Edwards and asked him what action he thinks we should take, as it is absolutely essential for me to have the drawings as soon as possible.

Two more items of information are lacking. Could you give me a description of the clay of sherd 616: a vat (pithos) fragment? That is give me its color and say whether it has grits and sand. Also if you can tell whether Sh 616 and another vat fragment, Sh 604 are hand-made or wheel-made, would you please indicate which?

All we can do now is wait for Mr. Edwards's decision.

Regards,

Jack Benson.
