THE ART MUSEUM PRINCETON UNIVERSITY PRINCETON NEW JERSEY

April 20, 1955Dear Roger:

Procrastination does pay once in a while. I had delayed writing you until I could see an unencumbered day for getting down to Philadelphia to collect the Curium material. How about my picking it up before or after John Young's lecture on the 29th? Or does that complicate your life?

It was ever so nice of you to telephone the news of the APS grant. I am delighted at the outcome and just hope Cyprus doesn't boil over in time to spoil things!

Princeton's Sicilian dig is now a certainty, as I may have told you, and I shall head for the hills back of Syracuse at the end of the summer, when I have finished the work at Curium. So now I am running around with two lists, one for things needed in a Cypriote summer, the other for the woolies to warm me in the autumn rains of Sicily.

See you soon.

Yours,

P.S. Is there someone in the APS I should send official thanks to, or does the Museum do that as the officials?
