There are one or two other matters. Are you planning to do anything with the so-called Megaron? I f[handwritten: o]nd no proper plan of it anywhere and cannot correlate D's sketches convincingly with anything on the Area E p[handwritten: l]an. It is certainly a badly disturbed area. There are so many archaic sherds there that I eannot even decide what period it belongs to. Apparently there was some kind of building there in LB times which somebody squatted in in a later period. Another point you might be able to clear up (though I doubt it without the notebook) is which floor the well in 21:12 goes with. Or was the whole upper part of it so disturbed by a later intrusion that it is impossible to tell?
To come to another important practical matter: when can we get together again? I shall be in Phila. all summer and try to set up a rough draft of sections on strat., tombs and catalog (of both Bamboula and Kal.). I early Sept. I shall probably visit my family in KC. For the fall term I have a membership at the Princeton Institute and shall be working there. In the spring I shall teach at Penn in Roger's place. Will you be in Columbia in time that we could have a conference there in case I do go to KC in early September or would you prefer to stop in Phila. where the records, etc. are?
We heard from Peter thaat you are finding houses and tombs but not a word about the period. Is the excavation fulfilling your expectations?
Best wishes for happy digging,
