I am now selling the articles at Curium house which are not required by the University Museum, and will send you an account of the amounts realised in due course. A list of such articles is enclosed for your information. As you will notice, they are of [handwritten: small] value.

With regard to paragraph 4 of your letter dated 18th December, 1953. I am examining the question of transfer of any balance to the U.S.A. and will inform you in due course. I am also preparing an account of the estate and will let you know if there will be sufficient assets, exclusive of the amounts due by Mrs. Ewing and the Museum, to pay all the expenses of the administration in Cyprus.

You will be glad to hear that after considerable correspondence and discussions with the Commissioner of Income Tax, I have now been able to obtain a refund of the income tax deducted from the dividends paid to the deceased during his life in respect of his shares in the Cyprus Palestine Plantations Co. Ltd. and the Cyprus Airways Ltd..

Yours faithfully,

/s/ P. L. Cacoyannis
