A letter came finally from RSY, of Sept. 13. No doubt you heard by the same mail, [handwritten: before] their departure for Balkh and Kunduz. We look forward to feeding him Thanksgiving dinner here.

I have heard rumors that Mrs. Ewing is going to forbid dogs at Villanova. Perhaps RSY will be receptive to Mrs. Rainey's suggestion of Rose Cottage after all! I'm sure there would be no alternative but moving, if we had to make a choice.

Yours,

Handwritten: Roger
