September 15, 1953In re: Estate of George H. McFadden, 2nd, Deceased

Mr. Froelich Rainey, Director, University Museum, 33rd & Spruce Streets, Philadelphia 4, Pa.

Dear Mr. Rainey:

I enclose the letter which Dr. Hill wrote to you on August 12th and the five inventories, together with one set of copies of these documents. On inventory No. 1, Dr. Hill has set forth the items which belong to the Museum and the items which belonged to George. It would appear that all of the items on inventories 2, 3 and 5 belonged to George, and that all of the items on inventory 4 belong to the Museum. Is the Museum satisfied with Dr. Hill's determination of ownership?

There are duplications on Dr. Hill's lists with some of the items on Mr. Sprecker's list. However, if the Museum wants any of the articles which belonged to George which are set forth on Dr. Hill's inventories, it would be helpful if you would so mark the copies of Dr. Hill's inventories and send them to me.

Sincerely yours,

Handwritten: John Kennedy Ewing
