December 17, 1953Mr. John K. Ewing, 3rd 23rd Floor Packard Building Philadelphia 2, Pennsylvania

Dear Mr. Ewing:

Rodney Young is just back from Afghanistan and Cyprus. He tells me that George had deposited a lot of films from Cyprus with James A. Sinclair & Co. Ltd., 3 Whitehall, London, S.W. 1. Those should come to the Museum files, but Rodney was told by the Company in London that they would have to have a letter from the executor of the estate authorizing them to ship the films to the University Museum. These are, of course, all excavation films which George left there to have prints made whenever desired. Sorry to bother you with this, but I wonder if you could forward a letter to them authorising shipment.

Sincerely,

Froelich Rainey Director
