Nov. 12, 1953Dear Roger,
Enclosed is a list of some eighty terracottas from the two big terracotta deposits we are publishing; you may not want to have all of them, and you may not get the few "best" pieces if we were Museum wants them, but these are what we would ask for if we were there, and we consider them a reasonably representative selection of the better preserved pieces. Our book has gone to press and we have renumbered all of them, so in giving you this list of old numbers it was easier to list them in their new order; you are better off for clerical help there than we are, so if you want them in numerical order you can get one of your colleagues or subordinates to do it.
