May 23, 1952Dear George:

We are sending off the film to you as you requested. The bills also came here and these I enclose. I opened them so as to find out just what was being sent for purposes of the customs declaration. You say to send the film "parcel Post". I am uncertain whether you mean by air or regular means, but assume that time is of the essence and so will try to arrange to send the package by air.

Glad you had a good time in Gordion. Rodney seems to be uncovering "acres" of mosaic in the Mosaic Building near where you were digging, which sounds good.

Best greetings to you and Joe.

Sincerely,

Handwritten: Roger
