CURIUM EXCAVATIONS EPISKOPI, LIMASSOL CYPRUS

9th May, 1951It has been reported recently in local newspapers that the Curium expedition is closing down and going to join the University expedition in Turkey. This is a completely incorrect statement. The University of Pennsylvania has two expeditions in this part of the world, one here and one in Turkey, and both are going on without interruption. There will, however be periods when little [handwritten: if] of any excavations will be in progress in order to permit time for publication of results. Work at Curium at present is to be restricted to the Sanctuary of Apollo.
