to know how you date it. We may have some fairly complete amphoras when we begin to mend. Some are Koan, judging from the double handles. Stratum 9 and the settling pit date, of course, from the last period of use. here is another stamped amphora handle at at a slightly higher level.

What a delightful person Mary White is. We all enjoyed her visit tremendously and I in particular. If she is going to write a book on the tyrants it would be nice if she could come and do a part of it here. I may be passing through Athens around the 28th or 29th of June. Will you be there? It would be only for a day or two. I don't know when I'll be returning to Cyprus. It may not be before next winter. You and Mary will both have to come down then.

It is very nice having Ellen here. I'm afraid she is not going to foregive me for not letting her ride the mares. They are not at all suitible for beginners and I was scared to death something might happen to her. It was a great disappointment to me as I have no one to ride with.

Mr. Hill is finishing his breakfast so I must say goodbye.

I will send the profiles later. Be sure to let me know if you will be at Athens the end of June.
