9th May, 1949Dear Mr. Porter,
With reference to Mrs. John F. Daniel's letter to you of January 12th, I wonder whether it has been possible yet to send her, as requested, the film; exposed and unexposed; the ring; wrist watch; and the American Express cheques. The University Museum at Philadelphia have written me to look into the matter. They write that Mrs. Daniel has not received any answer to her letter. I understand from Mr. Hill, our director, who went in to see you on his arrival in the island about a month ago, that Mr. Daniel's personal effects, other than those listed above, would be sent down here as soon as the rest of his [handwritten: clothes] arrived from Turkey.
The University Museum is particularly anxious that the express cheques should be sent to Mrs. Daniel at the earliest opportunity.
Very sincerely yours,
G.H.McFadden.
