Dear Joe,

I was a mistaken in a matter of some importance. I thought the matter concerned in the same way and the man I wrote to was not, but you may hear the one of the two Foremen, who has since at an unfortunately left our service and is in permanent employment elsewhere.

But as I was not able to do it at once I want you to let me know all that I have been able to find out, so that you can decide what you would like to do with the matter. The responsibility and the tasks of the team are rather scattered and I am not fully confident about the matter. I would like you to see it done and I am not able to do it myself at the present time. The materials used for the mosaic have been partly of a different kind and I have not yet traced the various materials they were used for. I am sure your contact with the mosaic would be useful. I cannot say more at the moment, but I shall send the money next week.

Yours,
