Dear Peter,

Thank you for yours of the 5th. It answers the postscript of mine of this morning which crossed yours. I'll make an inquiry in the Limassol. I'm enclosing herewith a cheque for the ten calendars we have in the customs at Limassol a case containing three kerosine table lamps and accessories which are to be used by the expedition. We are in no great rush about the lamps but are in bad need of the spare chimneys and mantles. As the value of these are over five pounds an import license is required. In our experience this takes sometimes as much as two months to obtain. Would it put you to much inconvenience to expedite the license for us? It would be greatly appreciated if you could without too much trouble. I am enclosing a form which I have filled out with two copies.
