debt to him for his services is incalculable.

5. With reference to your paragraph six, I'm sure an informal request by the Curator for seasonal reports would be met with the fullest cooperation.

6. Paragraph 7 might be re-worded as you think best in light of what I have said in general about publication. The phrase in the last sentence "excavation house" might be changed to Episkopi as all members of the excavation don't live in the excavation house.

7. Paragraph eight is absolutely in order but I don't feel there is any occasion for including it in an official letter. It might, in my opinion, be just as effective in an informal letter from the Curator to Mr. Hill, as Pete Daniel is an old student of his. Mr. Hill I know would give him the fullest cooperation. It is unthinkable that Mr. Hill would authorize any publication without the consent of the University Museum.

8. Paragraph nine is covered in my paragraph four. Paragraphs ten and eleven in part are covered in my paragraph two. These are business matters which I'd like to take up with you as they are connected with my contributions to the Museum.

9. The opinion of the Curator, who is a student of our Director and a former member of our expedition would and should carry great weight. My comments you will note are on matters of procedure and do not involve any change in policy at all. I think all of us share a singleness of aim and that is the publication of the history of Curium to the best credit of the University Museum.

10. Your concluding paragraph is much appreciated.

Very sincerely yours,
