GEORGE H. McFADDEN 121 CHESTNUT STREET PHILADELPHIA

"Bloomfield," Villa Nova, Aug. 28, 1947.

The Director, University Museum, 33rd and Spruce Streets, Philadelphia, Pa.

Dear Mrs. Godfrey:

I am enclosing herewith Curium Excavations Accounts for the year ending June 30th, 1946. I hope you will find them in order. You will notice that I have given the cheque number for my own contributions. All receipts for which there is no cheque number represent contributions made by other patrons of the Museum. All my cheques are drawn on my Number One account with the Girard Trust Company, Philadelphia. You will also notice that there is a credit balance of $3,792.37. The reason for this credit balance being so large is that the $2000.00 allocated to the Neolithic "dig" has not yet been expended and I have not yet received a statement of account for the trial "dig" which was to have been limited to fifty pounds or roughly $200.00. This will be included in the account for the fiscal year 1947-1948. I wonder whether there has been any board meeting since my letter of June 4th regarding our needs for the coming year. Looking forward to seeing you very soon,

I am,

Very sincerely yours,
