CURIUM EXCAVATIONS EPISKOPI, LIMASSOL CYPRUS

on December 17th 125 pounds sterling, the equivalent of $500.00, and on December 30th, I contributed $1,000.00. Both of these amounts were deposited to the credit of Curium Excavations at the Ottoman Bank at Limassol. Would you advise the University Treasurer.

In regard to the neolithic dig, it is my understanding that the Museum is willing [handwritten: ,] to contribute 50% of the expenses which are to be limited to the amount of $2,000.00. If this is correct, would you confirm it so that I can advise the Department of Antiquities here at a time calculated to bring the most favorable consideration of our wishes, as expressed by Mr. Daniel, in the division of finds from his own sites with the British Government. I hope very much Mr. Hill will be present to undertake the negotiations on behalf of the University Museum.

We have greatly appreciated the efforts of your supply department in getting us what we need. I think about all that was obtainable at home has now arrived, and I hope you will convey our thanks and gratitude.

With kindest regards, Very sincerely yours,
