24 March, 1947Director, Department of Antiquities, Cyprus.

Dear Peter,

With reference to your letter of March 21st which just reached me this afternoon, your proposal that we retain in the Mosque tomb pending a division of finds is quite agreeable to us. In regard to the new tomb by the mill we shall advise Mustafa Ramadan that you are willing to offer him one pound for the contents. If he agrees, we may be able to find room for the contents in our car at a time when it is going to Nicosia. If he shouldn't agree, I'll let you know.

The cost of clearing the tomb wasn't excessive and we were glad to be able to do this for you, and for the drawings you can share our gratitude for Joe Lasts's devotion to Cypriot archeology.
