21st March 1947

Handwritten: Dear George,

I have not been able to trace any correspondence about the Tomb found in the Mosque and cleared by Pete Daniel. As you are interested in that group through the presence of terracottas in it, I think it best that the expedition retain it for the present and that its ultimate destination be decided at the division.

As to the new tomb group from Mustafa Ramadan's coffee-shop by the mill, I am offering him £1 for the lot with a view to acquiring the group for the Museum. If he agrees, the group should come to the Museum at a convenient opportunity. We should also like to have Mr. Last's plan of the tomb. For the trouble taken and any expense your expedition has incurred in clearing the tomb I can, in the circumstances, only offer our best thanks.

[handwritten: Yours sincerely, Petrides]

George McFadden Esq., Curium Expedition, Episkopi.
