LAND TITLE BANK AND TRUST COMPANY BROAD AND CHESTNUT STREETS PHILADELPHIA PERCY C. MADEIRA, JR., PRESIDENT

July 26, 1946Mr. George H. McFadden Kourion Excavations Episkopi Limassol, D. CYPRUS

Dear Mr. McFadden,

I have gone over your letter of July 2 with Mr. Daniel, and have the following comments to make.

In the first place, I think that any discussion of the neolithic "dig" could well be postponed until you return in September, at which time we can discuss it with you and Mr. Daniel jointly.

Mr. Daniel agreed with your view that he would like to be present at the division with the Cyprus authorities of the antiquities excavated under his charge.

For many reasons, it is not likely that Mr. Daniel will be able to return to Cyprus for another year.

In the event that you need additional storage space immediately for your own objects, he suggests that the expedition rent space in the village into which Mr. Daniel's objects could be stored for the time being.

I infer from your letter that the problem of storage space is not pressing at this time, and it may well be the whole matter could await your return in September, when we can discuss the matter with you and Mr. Daniel at the same time we consider the matter of the neolithic "dig."

With kind personal regards and best wishes,

Yours very sincerely,

Percy C. Madeira, Jr. President.
