I believe Mr. McFadden plans to add a few oddments before sealing them finally. The Lapithos records, all except the plans, remain here in a square brown leather hatbox of mine. When Mr. Hill left here, he seems to have given very special instructions to the foreman about looking after this case. The plan of Lapithos Tomb 5, on which I was working for a short time here in 1940, is also in Episkopi. All the other plans are to the best of my belief in 9 Plutarch Street, Athens, which doesn't seem a very good place for them. The Curium excavation notebooks, those not taken away already by the excavators, will remain in a locked cupboard in Mr. Hill's room. I wish I expected to have time to tidy that up. I think that is about all. We are planning to leave Cyprus very shortly for Egypt. We have been trying for some time to get definite transportation arranged for America from here, but it seems the only way is to appear on the spot and wait. I hope you are very well. I am wondering if your book has come out. [handwritten: X] Although I am quite up on my own family, because my mother continues to have faith and send me airmail letters (I have had one of March 5!), I don't seem to know anything the progress of archaeology.
