January 10, 1940Dear Miss Grace:-

Thank you for your letter of January 8th. I am delighted to hear you are going to be with the Cyprus Expedition once again.

We shall be delighted to help in any possible way but we cannot be of direct help regarding your passport, about which you will have to go yourself to the Passport Bureau here and go through the regular routine. I am, however, enclosing a letter setting forth that you are going on behalf of the Museum and that you wish to visit Greece en route to Cyprus. I believe this will expedite things.

If you will stop in the Museum Friday afternoon we shall do what we can to arrange details of passage and so forth. Should I not be here will you see Miss McHugh to whom I have spoken of the situation and she will lend every aid.

Sincerely yours

Horace H. F. Jayne Director
