Dear Mr. Hill,
As I wrote you in my last letter I have found the bill which includes almost all the expenses I incurred on account of the Mosaic. I enclose the account herewith; the items on the bill are put down separately. I think only some of the wood has been returned.
I forgot to tell you in my last letter that I sent a steel tape from Germany to Cyprus; it seemed to be a very practical one but I cannot remember whether it was marked on both sides; I sent it before getting your letter asking me to order one. The three meter surveying sticks are unfortunately all reversed.
Last never sent me the list of things he wanted but I have his letter you enclosed and will get the things listed in it.
In regard to Last's lodging in Episkopi, I thought that he might have my room in the old house or John's room there during the Winter and I could take the upper west room of the new house that I had before you come down last Spring. John's room would be the best I think for Last.
I don't know yet whether the State Department is going to grant me a passport but I have a letter from the Museum urging them to do so and hope this will suffice. I will cable you when I know.
Pete is here at the University
