G.H.McF.

Young has finished his photographing and packing of the Lapithos pottery and is beginning now on the terracottas, and has devised an ingenius systemm to find joints for the brocken pieces. He is engrossed in the work and seems very interested in it.

I wish Lands could come back for another term as he is such a pleasant and nice fellow to have here. He's received an offer to work in a firm in Cincinati but I gather he might be able to ask if he might start a little later than expected in order to remain in this part of the world to do archeologicalwork. He didn't say this but something that he did say gave me this impression.

We have had a couple of rains since I arrived and the country is rapidly turning green again. I have planted barley in the field adjacent to the house, which is already up, and clover below which is just beginning to show. I'm glad I got these two fields to protect us.

Yours aff.
