in charge of the work. It has been wonderful to have [handwritten: Lands] here as he has been very helpful in advice and supplied the detailed drawings that should have been forth coming from the Architects.
I have put up the windows as you suggested and which I agree looked very much too low. They were lower than they should have been by the drawing to the amount of 25 cm. , or rather the space between them and the upper windows were 25 cm too great by the drawing. They were of course too low even in the elevation.
I demolished the stairway which looked not all all well to my eye and [handwritten: I] think you would have agreed if you had seen it. It has been rebuilt with one step less to the first landing; then there are four steps instead of three taking it to the 2nd landing, these being supported by the radius equal to the first.
another arch with the radius equal to the first.
[handwritten: The] bath room will really be a bath room with a showers and two basins with hot and cold running water.
I am closeing the door between the kitchen and the bath room, and also, [handwritten: I] hope you wont mind, closed the door leading from the terrace to the W.C. which will be approached through the bath room. The stairway didn't hide the door sufficiently and both Lands and I thought it an unattractive feature on the facade.
