Dear Mr. Hill,

Here is the manuscript. I hope it reaches you in good form. I am sending the plan for trench 2 with it. You will see that some of the references in the notes are not yet filled in: it is a matter of fifteen minutes to do them, and I will have them before I see you. them. I have put acknowledgements to Persson & Mc Ewan in the notes. They can come out or be modified if necessary. What I have said about the seals is entirely temporary. I am hoping that Mc Ewan will write me descriptions which I can quote verbatim. Otherwise I will rewrite the pertinent sections. The late Cypriote parallels to the letters of the Kuri inscription are: (drawing) (drawing), and variants; (drawing) (Paphos)

Drawing: sign] (drawing) (drawing). Evans' E forms are (drawing) (drawing) etc. Our

Drawing: sign] is (drawing) + (drawing), our (drawing) (drawing). The later te is (drawing).

This should leave Skiathos tomorrow, Sunday. I plan to leave on Tuesday, reaching Athens Wednesday morning, by boat. I will go to your house to find out where you are, and you can expect me, unless I wire to the contrary, on Thursday.

Hastily, Pete
