make some move now.

The Government has removed your stakes ; but some they have failed to remove and put others where there was no stake of yours; and in one case, where you had a stake up against a carob tree, put their cement mark about two metres away but left a stick to mark the right place, an ordinary stick that might easily be removed. I suppose the carob will have to serve as the mark. I will try and check up on this some day and let you know the numbers that have been omitted, and those they have apparently put in for reasons of their own.

John Wyeth left a week ago last Thursday and is, of course, greatly missed. The place is never the same without him, and your visits are also getting to be much too short but I suppose we are lucky to have you at all.

If it looks as though we shall have to build I will send you photo static copies of the plan and elevation and details of the construction. It will be made in the village style; mud bricks, covered with gypsum, and a roof of matting, mud, and tiles as that of the palace shed. The dining room will be upstairs, and your room will ajoin it and face south and east. The Apothekes will take up the two wings and form a courtyard on the south side with the house. I should think it would be best not to have the building begin until the Fall. So we shall have time to talk over the plan and other points as I should hate to go ahead with the building without first having some advice from you.
