PANAYOTIS L. CACOYANNIS ADVOCATE LIMASSOL, CYPRUS.

Limassol [handwritten: 21st May 1936] P. O. Box No 122.

Dr. B.H.Hill 9 Plutarch street Athens

Dear Dr. Hill I have the pleasure in acknowledging receipt of your letter of 5th May 1936.

Mr. Evagoras Chrysostomides has also received his share in the rent due viz £8.0.0. in respect of the period ending on the 23rd August 1936. I very much hope that I shall be able to do something with regard to the renewal of the lease.

Yesterday the Commissioner of Limassol interviewed in my presence the owners of the plots of land at Curium sought to be acquired with a view to finding out what is the minimum price per donnum at which they would be willing to transfer such properties in the name of the Government. The owner of plot 45 asked £3.0.0. per donnum, the owner of plot 4 £5.0.0. per donnum, the owner of plot 46 £3.10. 0. per donnum and the owner of plot 55 £4.0.0. per donnum.

No doubt the above prices are exorbitant and I understand the whole matter will be referred to arbitration according to law.

I am afraid considerable time will lapse before the value of the land referred to above is finally decided by arbitration.

Yours sincerely
