Dear Mr Hill,
I have had a great deal of trouble getting the antiquities out of the customs at the Pyraeus. They will only allow me to take the inscribed sherds out of the parcel and a custom's official is to accompany them to the Phalerum air port where I am taking the British sea plane for Brindisi, thence taking the train direct for Paris. I am sorry I have not been able to get the coins out. If I were going to remain here longer I should probably be able to do this through the Ministerion. The American Consul tells me, however, that this would take a number of days, so the coins will be in the customs of the Pyraeus when you return from Corinth. Mr Davaris (Potoglou Building Pyraeus) knows exactly where they are. I hope it will not mean that you will have to come down to the Pyraeus yourself.
I am planing to sail on the Europa which has defered its sailing from the 8th to the 13th. My address until I sail will be Morganbank Paris(cable address of course).
The account book is aboard the "Samothrace" and Ikita is having this sent to your house. Should you not find it there you will know that it is here on board.
John Wyeth has been having trouble with his eyes as, I think, I told you. He is staying on here until they clear up and then plans to go on to Delphi where he will probably be until June.
I saw Megaw the other day at Athens and had him down here for lunch. He is certainly a charming fellow.
Hoping all is going well at Corinth,
