Jan. 24th 1935Prof. Horace Jayne University Museum Philadelphia, Pa.

Dear Prof. Jayne:-

I have just located one Harry D. Riley now working at the Metropolitan Museum making drawings and models from archeological notes and data returned from Egyptian work.

Mr. Riley is an architect and engineer and is thoroughly versed in surveying. He has been highly recommended to me for the work now open in Cyprus. I have only spoken with him on the phone. He knows thereby the general nature and terms of the expedition. He is willing and able to go - able to stay on for the fall if given a small salary.

He will provide his own references.

Unless the position has already been filled [handwritten: with] I strongly recommend your getting in touch with Mr. Riley at 349 West 85th St., N Y C tel Su 7- 8767 or c/o Metropolitan Museum, the Plaster Room tel Rh 4-7690

Yours very truly.
