The telegram has just come. I figure that I will have to leave tomorrow, Wednesday, if I am to catch the boat. I am all ready, and am making arrangements to leave, counting on hearing from you in the affirmative. I will wire you in the morning, to be sure that we hear from each other in time for me to make the boat, in case my leaving meets with your approval. I assume that the wording of the wire answers your question as to the propriety of my going on ahead of you. I am sorry this is so rushed and jumbled, but I have just recovered from a hectic spell of packing.

With my best regards,

J. Franklin Daniel
