Photograph: 1945. Library of Congress, Prints and Photographs Division, G. Eric and Edith Matson Photograph Collection, matpc.21876. Public domain.

Description

The building has a pediment supported by columns at its centre, with a tiled roof behind. Two palm trees frame the left and centre, and a tall casuarina-like tree stands on the right beside a utility pole. A low wall and iron railings separate the forecourt from the street, and a boy in light clothing walks across the sandy ground near the wall.

English

A single-storey stone building with a pedimented portico of columns stands behind palm trees and a low hedge. A young boy in shorts walks along the forecourt on the right.
