Material of 27 Sept → cf. p. 19. L9/3 :

- Discovery of the return of the terrace wall or wall of the base of the sheds (= return of 724) = Locus 759. Only one dressed stone, worked on both north and south faces, was found - The other stones were removed . Orientation: E/W - width = 0.55 m - disappeared - Upper altitude = 4.11 m -

=> the line separating UF 4 and 5 represents the south limit of the fill which lies abutting the return wall 759. The limit is clear because it is the imprint, in a way, of the wall -

=> north of the "line" (or of wall 759): fill remblais, backfill, as in L92 = UF 5. to the south, robber rubble: very numerous large undressed limestone blocks, a few rare fragments of marmaro, very powdery earth = material very heterogeneous (the south section of the square does not stand!) = UF 4 . Among the rubble, discovery of a coin at the altitude of 3.72 m.

- The limit between the fill in UF 5 and the wall 759 disappears to the west because of (?) a pit which begins almost at the level of the surface (around 4.20m) - This limit disappears 2.20 m from the east baulk . It is pit 757, "dug" into the fill north of the wall - Pear-shaped pit It is so large at the base that it merges largely with UF 5 - [mixture: Wh. P. IV → closed lamps 3rd c.]

L9/2 :

- Pit 757 is found again, delimited, to the SW of the square.

- Discovery of a patch of floor at 3.92 m - No sherd from a plate but traces of fire - cut by pit 757 = Floor 758 -
