Biography

Two Cypriot Bichrome amphorae came to auction in 2023 from the estate of Dr. Paul A. Marks and Joan H. Marks, who are said to have acquired them in the early 1970s1.

Christie's gives his dates as 1926 to 20201. The amphorae were offered at Christie's New York in the autumn 2023 antiquities sale, as lots 15 and 161. His profession is not recorded, and nothing is known of his other purchases or the dealers he bought from.
