Took off from Rome at 21^h 15 in the storm... very bumpy flight over the Apennines, arrived over the lagoon after 23^h, in freezing temperature. Installed at the hotel, at the entrance to Venice, at midnight.

Thursday 20 December 1962Hard day of procedures and discussions in Venice 1^o/ with the C^ie Typaldos to get the car out of the hold of the Typaldos liner, berthed since the day before ("Akropolis"). 2^o/ with the customs of the disembarkation quay, 3^o/ with the customs of the Santa Lucia Station, 4^o/ at the General Directorate of Customs, at the Punta della Salute, at the office of the Inspector General - Result: another night at the hotel in Venice, and unforeseen additional expenses. It is freezing over Venice, however.
